Exposure: sun to partial shade
Blooming season: grown for its foliage
Not really a fern at all; grown for its fine-textured, medium-green foliage and “ferny” effect. Feed heavily for best performance; can tolerate lots of heat but does not readily forgive a wilt, in response to which it may drop yellowed leaves; sometimes bothered by mites and aphids.
Characteristics: delicate needlelike leaves, ferny; tiny thorns can stick despite the plant’s soft appearance; foliage is bright green or yellow green
Uses: containers, hanging baskets
